Bigyan (bigyan.org.in) is transforming science popularization in Bengali, engaging scientists worldwide, bringing the highest standards of scientific publishing to popular science, and collaborating with educators to modernize science teaching in high schools. Since 2022, Bigyan Inc. is registered as a USA 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 88-1731834, donation is tax exempt in USA). We request your donation to sustain.
Your donation will primarily be used for:
1. Freelancer (such as illustrators) expenses for high quality content creation.
2. We are teaming up with many high schools and colleges in West Bengal to deliver high quality wall magazines to their students. Our ambition is to familiarize these students with the fascinating horizon of modern science and inculcate critical thinking. We will collaborate with local NGOs for this mission.
3. Website expenses – registration, security certificate, high speed storage, backup, maintenance, update
4. Subsidy for the print edition of ‘Bigyan Patrika’ (assorted collection of articles in a magazine format). The magazine is priced below the cost of production to reach a large number of students, especially in the rural areas of West Bengal.২০১৪ সাল থেকে বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্তে ছড়িয়ে থাকা বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি গবেষকদের সাথে বাঙালী পাঠক ও সর্বোপরি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের মধ্যে যোগসূত্র স্থাপন করে আসছে ‘বিজ্ঞান’ (bigyan.org.in)। ‘বিজ্ঞান’ অলাভজনক ও শিক্ষামূলক (non-profit and academic initiative) প্রচেষ্টা, যা মূলত স্বেচ্ছাসেবীদের দ্বারা পরিচালিত। তা সত্ত্বেও ওয়েবসাইট পরিচালনা, উন্নতমানের লেখা ও অন্যান্য কন্টেন্ট তৈরির জন্য, সর্বোপরি বাংলাভাষী জগতের কোণায় কোণায় বিজ্ঞানকে ছড়িয়ে দিতে প্রয়োজন অর্থের। আমাদের আশা, মাতৃভাষায় বিজ্ঞানপ্রসারের এই উদ্যোগকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে আপনারা অর্থসাহায্য (donation) করবেন। ২০২২ সালে Bigyan Inc. একটি USA 501(c)(3) non-profit organization হিসাবে নথিভুক্ত হয়েছে (donation is tax exempt in USA)।
‘বিজ্ঞান’ সম্বন্ধে বিশদে জানুন।
‘বিজ্ঞান’-এর জন্য আপনার ডোনেশান মূলত যে কারণে ব্যবহার করা হবে –
১। উন্নতমানের কন্টেন্ট তৈরির জন্য ফ্রীল্যান্সার (যেমন illustrator)-এর পারিশ্রমিক।
২। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের নানা অঞ্চলে আমরা নিয়মিত ‘বিজ্ঞান’ সংকলন পৌঁছে দেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছি দেওয়াল পত্রিকার মাধ্যমে। এই পত্রিকাগুলোর উদ্দেশ্য হবে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের আধুনিক বিজ্ঞানের দিগন্তের সাথে পরিচয় করানো এবং তাদের মধ্যে critical thinking তৈরি করা। এই প্রকল্পের জন্য আমরা বিভিন্ন আঞ্চলিক NGO-এ সাথে যৌথভাবে কাজ করব।
৩। ওয়েবসাইট সংক্রান্ত খরচ – রেজিস্ট্রেশান, security certificate, high speed storage, backup, maintenance, update
৪। ‘বিজ্ঞান পত্রিকা’ মুদ্রণ সংস্করণের ভর্তুকি। এই পত্রিকা যাতে বহু সংখ্যক ছাত্রছাত্রী, বিশেষত পশ্চিমবঙ্গের গ্রামাঞ্চলে পৌঁছনো যায়, তাই এর মূল্য মুদ্রণ ও বিতরণ খরচের থেকে কম রাখা হয়েছে।We need your help to spread science in mother language!
